Agyver Yvonne Sawunyama is an advocate at Harare Law Chambers with over eleven (11) years’ experience as a legal practitioner. She was admitted to practice as a legal practitioner, conveyancer, and notary public in November 2014. Prior to joining chambers in May 2019, she practised as an associate at Wilmot & Bennett Legal Practitioners and earlier at Hussein Ranchhod & Co.She has developed a strong reputation for her analytical approach to legal issues and her commitment to effective advocacy. Her experience spans both litigation and advisory work across a range of civil law matters.

Agyver obtained her LLB degree with distinction in her undergraduate dissertation, which focused on “Mobile Financial Services and the Banking Law Environment in Zimbabwe.” Her research addressed emerging issues in banking law prior to legislative developments in the sector.

Stellenbosch University

Master of Laws (LLM) – 2022

Her postgraduate studies encompassed a diverse range of specialised legal fields, including International Law and Children’s Rights, Legal Aspects of Regional and International Trade, International Tax Law, and Sustainable Development Law. These areas of study reflect a strong focus on global legal frameworks, socio-economic development, and the intersection of law with international policy and practice.
